About
Home County Music and Art Festival celebrates 43 years of being London’s premier summer festival. Forty years of music, art and food, as always in downtown London’s beautiful Victoria Park. This ‘admission by donation’ event features more than 30 of Canada’s best roots, traditional and indie folk/pop acts.
Mission Statement
The Home County Folk League presents a premier summer Music and Arts Festival and related Home County Folk League activities throughout the year. The League engages loyal patrons along with new generations in the appreciation and promotion of Canadian musicians and artisans. The League endeavours throughout the year to include an Artists in the Schools program and a Community Concert Series. The League strives to ensure environmentally friendly choices

Q:Where does the name Home County come from?
A:“Home counties” is an informal phrase used to designate the group of South East England counties that border or surround London, England. The home counties have no official definition but are usually understood as coinciding with the London commuter belt or the London Metropolitan Area. In England in 1926, the Home Counties (Music and Dancing) Licensing Act regulated activities in all parts of Buckinghamshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Kent and Surrey within 20 miles of the City of London. (source – Webster’s Online Dictionary)
Based on this geographical concept, our founding festival organizers came up with the name H.O.M.E. County in 1974, as an acronym for Huron, Oxford, Middlesex, Elgin — the four counties in southwestern Ontario surrounding the city of London and area.

Home County Festival happens at VICTORIA PARK, guys!! Yup!! Right in the downtown middleparts of our London, Ontarioplace!! It is a sooperpretty park that a whole buncha festivalparties happen at, plus it is one of the CROWN JEWELS of "The Forest City"!! Yes!! .........
We had to leave SkyrollerBloo wayfaraways 'cuz it was so sooperpacked with peoples allover everywheres, guys!! Truestory!! Butt 'ventually we got to Victoria Park, plus we came in THIS way!! (* This picturestory is old 'cuz it is waymoregreener now!!) ..........................
Yup!! At every way in there is a teensy tent with peoples innit, guys!! It costs whatever you want to give to get in!! Truestory!! Plus if you do not have any dollarpennies, that is AOK too!! You can still go in!! Just 'member to not forget....

Yup!! Nowabouts Victoria Park is sooperpretty guys!! Lots'nlots of leafygreen trees plus shrubbadubs plus flowerposies, plus all kindsa the NatureMama's babies!! Yup!! Right in the middle of our city where we live!! Isn't that 'MAZING!!?? ...........................
On one side of the walkingroad is a whole class of MARTIAL ARTS juniorpeoples doing practicetimes real close to the HOLY ROLLER armytank memorial!! ...............................
Plus right a 'cross the walkingroad is a bunch of oldentimer folks doing TAI CHI!! I luvluvlove our city where we live, guys!! ................................

There she be, guys!! The Victoria Park Yodelbarn!! Lots'nlots of sooperfamous musicpeoples have made musicsounds there!! Yup!! Plus there are a whole buncha waymorelittler yodelbarns that are buiderated just for this festivalparty too, so there is musicsounds coming from allover everywheres!! ...............
'Course Meganshroder is a sooper'mazing singsonger, plus actorator plus modelator too!! Yup!! She was asked to sing the Canadaplace National Anthem called "O CANADA!!" I KNOW!! She was 'mazing, plus right after, we got to be inthesameplacefriends!! ............................

It is his turn to stay at the London Fire Department display so he can tell everybuddy alla 'bout how to be safe from scary burningtimes and stuff!! Yup!! Plus he knows alla 'bout it, guys!! FiremanFrank is a FIRE PREVENTION INSPECTOR!!
It was sooperfun to hang out with FiremanFrank plus our other friendlypals from the LondonFireDepartment plus I am hoping I can take a turn in the LFD display at other festivalparties too!! Sure hope so 'cuz it is sooper'portant plus sooperfun!! ..........................
